I get these red bite like marks on my skin when i spend time in salt water?they look like large bug bites?

Question: this only happens in salt water.they are near my waist and below and very ichy!a nurse told me they might be "sea grapes".they are not jelly fish as i had thought.
any help ?could they be bed bugs?i only get them after spending a lot of time in the ocean.the iching goes away w/ gold bond creme and they completely dissappear in a week or two.HELP i am a kayak instructor!

They soundlike sea lice bites, very common, normally you can feel them bite, only thing to put on after you come out of the water is antiseptic cream like Savlon. Unfortuntely being in the ocean and the amount of time you spend in it you will get bitten again, usually the sea lice are seasonal. Maybe try a wetsuit?
