Why do painkillers make you more amorous? Serious question.?


Question:
I have taken a couple in my life for back pain and I swear my libido goes through the roof. Anyone else experience this? I am too embarassed to ask my Doc if this is a normal side effect and foumd nothing listed about this anywhere else.

That is how narcotics work on the receptors of the brain, They cause euphoria. I would say your 1 of many who get more aroused while taking them.
It could be causing extra blood flow to that area as well.
This happens with me too. I'm sure its common and your doctor would not be surprised.
You are not alone. When I take them I am much friendlier, and my husband is a very happy man, must be a reaction to the chemicals in the medication.

I feel that way right now & I guess we all know why!!!
