make sure you dont drink too much before bed time. go to the bathroom right before you go to sleep and right when you wake up in the morning. set your alarm clock (ex. if you go to bed at 10, set your alarm clock for say 1-1:30, 2 the latest, then get up and go to the bathroom.) your body will get the routine and that should help you get started. the doctor can also help you with this.
drink less water b4 u go to sleep, and tell ur doctor u keep wetting the bed. he/she could help.
hmm.wear adult diapers...i dont know if there is anything else to stop it but im sure in the future it'll stop... it probably part of ur puberty. if ur havign sexual dreams then its okay to wet the bed cause thats part of growing up.hmmm... anyway have a nice day! take care *LOVES* mishi
Before you go to bed use the bathroom
Try not to drink water or any kind of liqiud of that matter before bed
my g/fs sister wet the bed till she was 15..then she just stopped.not an answer but at least youre not alone on this one... my guess is it`ll pass given time
tell yourself many time throughout the day "I will not wet my bed."
"I will wake up when I feel like I need to go to the bathroom."
It will work trust me, I'm not being a dick or anything. I know how the subconscious mind works. If you tell it to do something it will do it. You can use the same process for things like eating a good diet or being happy.
Try not to drink anything at least an hour before bed, make sure you go to the toilet before bed.
Or you could try setting an alarm in the middle of the night and getting up to go to the toilet. That way you will get into the routine of waking up when you need to wee.
Hmmm what else, oh when I was like 10 and still wetting the bed it was because I would have dreams where I would need the toilet but in real life I could not feel anything. Of course I would go to the toilet in my dream and wet my bed.
If this happens to you try to wake yourself up when you see the toilet, its like waking yourself up from a nightmare.
Hope I could help a little and dont worry its more common than you think :)
My son, who is 10 does the same thing...and it's not like it's every night either. when he has had a super busy day, and is just exhausted, he won't wake up...a very heavy sleeper...
He has to watch his liquid consumption after dinner, and needs to take frequent "potty" breaks, even if he doesn't think that he has to go..
If this happens all the time, you might want to talk to your doctor to see if there is an underlying problem...chances are it is just because you are a heavy sleeper...
I'm sure it stinks if you are going to or having a sleepover..I tell my son to always bring another pair of p.j. bottoms...then if something happens, he can change and if his friend questions the change of clothes, he can say he was hot, and changed into shorts, or the other pair was itchy...or whatever...
Good luck to you...you are not the only one out there.
You are going to have to go to the doctors - sometimes you can be going short of a hormone release in you body called Desmopressin - they can check this - I know it will be a little embarassing for you to go to the doctors - but there are plenty of people out there who have the same problem - in fact I personally know someone who is a lot older than you and will not go to the doctors.
If not - try drinking plenty of water - not pop - plain old water - during in day and go to the toilet when you need to - do not hold it in - its coming up to holidays so you should have no problem - then do not drink anything for 2 hours before you go to bed.
my brother had the same problem, try setting an alarm clock for ever hour or so , get up and use the restroom each time, it will train your body .
My best friend's brother wet the bed until he was 16 years old. Boys have a condition with their bladder that makes them wet the bed at night. I was in my 20's and had a boyfriend that wet the bed one night. You can see a doctor for it, but I am not sure there is anything they do. It should go away with age.
Hey, I stopped wetting the bed when I was 3 and started again at 4 until I finally stopped at 13! (I've been dry for 7yrs now!)
I tried everything, doctors sent me for tests, I had that alarm thing that woke me up, I tried not drinking for 3hrs before I went to bed, I tried drinking NO caffeine, I had tablets from the doctor, I tried "dry nites" by Huggies. nothing worked.
Our doctor then sent our family (me, my mum and my little sister) to councilling sessions. The last time I wet the bed was the night before the first session and we didnt need to go to the second. I think it helped just to get everything out in the open.
Nocturnal Enuresis is not a pleasant thing to have to endure... and can be quite lonely as you don't want to tell your friends and parents get quite annoyed at having to wash your sheets every day BUT remember: It is not your fault!! Ask your doc to refer you.
I also found out later that my mum had a still born child just before I started wetting the bed again and it is likely that the stress around me is what triggered it to start.
Good Luck, i'm sure you'll stop soon xx
try hypnosis
i like the answer that tash posted for u
