I had the same problem when I lived in Michigan. I moved to Arizona and there are plenty of good jobs here so now I have health insurance.
Back in Michigan I simply prayed I wouldnt get sick.
Thank Goodness I was able to get state insurance for my kids at that time though.
Go up to Canada... Find someone who will let you use their address!
Have you tried to see if you would qualify for Carolina Access, which is a participating medicaid w/copay of $3 & there is always Health Dept and you can get help with seizsure medications too.
You can always do what I do: Pray.
If you have a seizure and have to go to the emergency room, they CANNOT turn you away until they have stablized you. Then talk to their hospital social worker. He or she can help you out with that situation. You can go and talk to them anytime not just when you have an emergency. Call hospital information and ask to speak to the social worker and they can let you know if you need to make an appointment. Also go online and look up health insurance. I am sure you will find one you can afford that will work for you. Good luck!!
I just did a quote with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan. The cost for full insurance coverage including drug coverage is $47-$140/month
That is less then I pay with my EMPLOYER health coverage...
Ask your job if they can pay you under the table or make your check out to cash. If you explain your health situation they just might work with you.
For your anemia take iron 3x a day.
