Have you considered alternative medicine - like acupuncture? I'm a cancer survivor and am on meds that make my joints ache and stiff. I realize that your disease is not the same as mine, but I have found that my sessions with the acupuncturist have helped me immensely and work very well in concert with my current medicinal therapies.
trust me you do not want them.
you really do not i tell you know everything else goes wrong with you
blinking have a joint that is better for pain free body
you need to talk to your rheumatologist about that..they have new meds, but my rheumatologist calls them poison in a bag.
If you can take pills and they work, I'd continue to take them...
Me I'm not so lucky. I've had rheumatoid arthritis for 24 yrs now and I can't take anything for the pain. I'm allergic to ALL the pills and anything else they can 'try' to give me...so count your blessings.
I HAVE OSTIO ARTHRITIS AND HAVE BEEN TAKING TABLETS FOR ABOUT 40 YEARS NOW AND LIKE YOU I AM STILL IN PAIN I HAVE HEARD THAT GOLD INJECTIONS ARE GOOD BUT THEY WEAR OFF IN ABOUT 3 MONTHS AND THE PAIN IS EVEN WORSE THEN SO I DONT THINK THERE IS ANY LONG TERM CURE WE JUST HAVE TO GRIN AND BARE IT.
I have rheumatism in the finger joints. Since taking Omega 3 one gram tablets 3 times a day the pain has greatly diminished. You can just use fish oil too if preferred. There are injections available to combat pain but you probably have to see the doctor every time you need one.
Sorry but you don't really have a lot of options.
Yes my mum has ra and she always goes to the doctors for quarterzone injections they go directly into the bone...
The clinic below has various treatment options for ra-
some may not be available through your own doctor.
Ozone therapy may also be an option.
