It could be cancer, a gastro-intestinal (GI) bleed or polups or a whole lot of other abdominal problems. Get him to the ER right away!

I did that too, and ignored it. When I finally was brought in, it turned out to be advanced ulcerative colitis, first stage colon cancer. Get him to the hospital NOW!

the same thing happened to my Little bro, he had palips and needed to get a colonoscopy done to check. I recommend that.

Any signs of blood is a health problem. Your friend needs to see a doctor as soon as possible . Bright red blood is normal from hemmrroids and dark blood from some type of internal bleeding. However, any blood seen is a health issure need to be atttended too.
