How can i stop cracking my back/neck/fingers?

Question:
I have been doing it for YEARS, and I'm only 17 but I feel like I have the body of an old woman! My back, neck, and fingers are constantly in pain, and usually the only way to make them feel better is to crack them some more. But it is only temporary relief.

My knuckles are all big and gross looking. I crack them so many times a day I would lose count if I tried to keep track of it. It's just a habit. I do the same thing with my neck and back. I crack them ALL the time! My friends say it is gross. My dad said it is ok and not unhealthy, but suddenly my joints are in pain and I'm sure it is from all the cracking. How do I get it to stop?

Answers:
you could have early aurthritus... and it sounds painful.. but your going to make it worse if you dont stop it and get help for it... you should see a dr or visit with a cyropracter to help you.. and you should stay active.. play sports or swim.. do something to keep moving so you dont get so stiff and crack more.. hope you start feeling better soon.
you need to see your doc, sounds like a earley case of unkle auther//
Yeah, I have the same problem. I started cracking my toes when I was 15. Now I'm 24 and I just can't stop, but I have limited the amount I do, because if I crack them a lot, I have a lot of pain in my toes, especially the big ones.
the cracking sound you hear is just air coming out of joints...
its not unhealthy
i have the same habits.
and i dont have any pain in any of my joints.
but i suggest you go see a doctor for the pain.
see a dr
