My ankle hurts...?


Question:
ive been regularly using the treadmill. and i usually do it with socks on at a particular incline (1/2 the max). recently my ankle has started aching and it hurts when i try to stretch or rotate my foot.
are there any exercises i can do to remedy this

You have an INJURY and you need to take care of it!
Stay OFF it! Elevate it and apply cold packs. Stay off it till you have the time to heal.
It sounds like you are not stretching enough. You probably sprained it though. I would buy a brace and take it easy for a few weeks. Then, i would run on a track because its easier on joints then the treadmill.
it might be sprained.not sure though.for now u should stop running on a treadmill.u might want to see your doctor and then see a physical therapist.also ice it
If it's only one ankle it may be something besideas the workout. My left ankle gives me pain at times, but I drive a lot. It doesn't hurt on the weekends when I'm at home. Stertching will help.

I do this and it helps. Lay on back. With one leg straight, pull other knee to chest with both hands. Breathe normally and deeply. Hold for 30 Seconds. Then pull same knee gently to the side until upper arm is flat on ground (If it hurts stop.) Breathe normally and deeply. Hold for 30 Seconds. With hand of same side grab outside of foot palm down and pull towards body. (If it hurts stop.) Breathe normally and deeply. Hold for 30 Seconds. With both hands grab same part of foot and gently pull towards center and hold. (If it hurts stop.) Breathe normally and deeply. Hold for 30 Seconds. Repeat other side.
