No it is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to old. When you go to the pharmacy to pick up the new script take the old stuff with you and have them dispose of it. DO not take this. Use a prescription strength amount of ibuproen or naproxen until you can get to the drug store and get the new meds.
Tylenol is broken down in the liver. You are alowed to take 4 grams (Which is equal to 8 pills with 500 mg doses- or 16 pills with 325 mg doses) before you risk liver damage. I would suggest not taking a medication that has been expired that long, but then again I've took medicine that was a couple of years old and it never done anything to me.
as soon as i saw this, the alarms went off!! no, no,no period.
you never said what your condition was, but, you must only take the meds that were prescribed you anything else will put you at risk. take the old meds to the pharmacist for proper disposal.
no no no, first of all throw that script away. it way too old, and if it doesnt make you sick, it probally wont help. secondly cod./#3 already has tylenol in it so you should not take it. you can take up to 800 mill. of ibuprofin.for the pain until you get to the pharmacy. drinks lots of water!
I've taken old meds when I've gotten desperate. They've always worked. Maybe not as good as they should though. My pain management doctor actually told me to save some medication for when I really need some. ( I have fibromyalgia.) I also have taken tylenol 3 with a kidney infection. My doctor called that in for me. Tylenol 3 just isn't strong enough for me though. If you take it you'll probably be okay. I know how you feel when you're hurting and desperate. Do what you have to do!
