I just rolled on my ankle?

okay so today i had this show for dance and i was practicing and i rolled on my ankle and fell. as of right now i have it proped up on a chair and have ice on it. should i stay off it like use cruches or walk it out? which one or anything else?

you should go see a doctor, if you tore a ligament and keep walking on it, it will never fully heal,my doctor told me when i tore my ligaments to walk on crutches for two weeks, then in a walking boot for two weeks and then walk with a brace, but hopefully yours is just a sprain, just remeber pain is your guide if it hurts dont walk on it, if it feels alright go back to gentle walking, good luck to you, just remember, rest and healing properly this time can save you the pain of reinjuries in the future.
You should go see a doc to be sure you didn't damage it.
Stay off it if it is painful to the touch and starts to swell. Keep applying ice every once in a while and keep it partially elevated. When it is nearly healed you can walk on it, but keep it easy and limp a bit to keep most of yur weight off of it.
Depending on your age, you should go to the doctor and have it checked or have someone take you.
I would not use cruchesI would definatly walk slower around your houseand not put to much pressure on it wear sneakers it will give your ankle more steardyness so that it should take some pain off of it ! if you feel like it hurts so bad u cant get up then i would use only one crutch on the side that your ankle got twisted! Use a heating pad!!
usual treatment when i did that was off your feet pretty much for three days then use crutches - look it up on the Internet - i haven't done that for a long time.

but until i took the directions to heart i sprained it a lot - once you sprain your ankle it will always be vulnerable - cause the ligaments are stretched - that's why they say a sprain is worst then a break - a break usually heals stronger.

its 20 mins ice on - 20 mins off - or maybe its 20 min every hour.

after three days the swelling should go down - then 20 min heat on then off - to help loosen it.

if you still have swelling after three days alternate the heat and ice.

it will suck for a while depending on how bad it was

tape it up and get right back on that dance floor!

hannah, for the love of god, go see a doctor. She might be able to help you. and yes you should stay off it and use crutches. if you need some you can come over to my house and get some. because we have two sets. remember when i twisted my ankle and Katrina did too. oh my god we were in the library through gym together for like 3 weeks. she smelled! god! lol! ill call you later!
