Question:
My back has been bothering me since Friday afternoon and its now Tuesday. Its not spinal pain, it feels like maybe Psiatic pain... Its the most obvious in my lower back near the hips and the pain radiates forward making the front of my hips feel achey. I slipped down a few stairs about 2 or maybe 3 months ago, the same area had become bruised and was sore for only a few days, no problems since.. Not sure if this is related. It hurts the worst if I stand up perfectly straight, if I tilt my head forward, or stretch my legs flat forward while keeping my torso upright. I took excedrin the first day I noticed it and the pain subsided almost completely until Monday morning when I got back to work (I don't think the chairs here are any help) Last night after work I went home and laid down on the hard floor with a pillow under the lumbar curve which helped. I took a percoset which had NO effect on the pain at all. Obviously I plan to see a doctor.
Answers:
I think you may have thrown your pelvis out of alignment when you fell, or possibly caused a bulge in one of your lumbar discs which is placing pressure on a nerve root. I think you would be best advised to see an orthopedic doctor to have a proper assessment done on your back/pelvis. This is the only way you are gonna receive the proper treatment. Good luck.
Asprin or ibuprofen will help with inflamation.
Lay off the heat for a bit and try some ice.
You should see a chiropractor when you're able.
U may take half a spoon of powdered turmeric with warm milk. It would heal it.
