All i can say is DON'T eat/drink oranges coke fizzy drinks squashes or anything from concentrate. Another thing was milk - don't drink milk and see how that works. I'm not saying it'll work a treat. Get to the doctor " right now " & tell them what you've told us & get it checked out! Heart attachs kill only those who don't go in when thier bodies try to give them warning signs!
Pain = Warning Go to the doctors a.s.a.p.!
Sounds like some serious heart burn.
Do you find "burping" helps aliviate the pain temporarily? If so it may be heartburn (acid indegestion). Get an antacid like "Pepcid AC" or "Gaviscon". But I'd strongly recommend seeing your doctor for any chest pain.
How about heat? We are having a big time heat attack here and the lack of potassium due to dehydration gives people chest pains akin to a heart attack.
i've had a very similar pain twice in the last week, anmd the strange hollow ache in my throat! i thought its coz i'm a smoker and my lungs are packing in and causing me chest problems. it could be anything, even your bra being too tight or in the wrong position. i'm slightly worried. it sounds like yours is worse than mine, so go to the docs or ring NHS helpline and see if they can tell you anything down the phone!
Good luck :D
I used to have some odd pains that I could not explain, a doctor , when he heard them described, said they were cramping intercostal muscles. And it was a sharp pain too. I could only breathe in so far or out so far until the cramp passed. Maybe you could look into that possibility.
Try going to see an ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) doctor. I had the same type of pain (if I am understanding you correctly) and it turned out to be GERD (gastro esophageal reflux disease). That is where your esophagus creates too much mucus and it spills out into your chest cavity and into your throat, which is which is why you can feel it when you swallow. See a doctor and I hope you feel better!
dose sound like a angina attack or mild heart attack if left side also hurts (numb) heart attack

First question is do you have any health issues before hand, or is this something out of nowhere? Second, do you take meds, often times starting or stopping or mixing meds can cause this reaction. I get weird pains like that in my chest as well, when I am pregnant, the doctor say it is due to the increase in blood flow. If you have started a new exercise regimen this would cause in increase in your blood flow. Try to drink at least an 8 oz glass of water when this pain starts and breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. I defiantly recommended seeing a doctor, or even an urgent care to be on the safe side. never can be too safe when coming to your health. Hope this helps

Pain is Not Always a Symptom of Heart Attack
A heart attack often starts with mild symptoms that may not be painful. Many victims experience a tightness or squeezing sensation in the chest. Get emergency medical help immediately If you experience any of the following symptoms for two minutes or more:
Pressure, fullness, squeezing or pain in the center of the chest.
Pain spreading to the shoulders, neck or arms.
Severe pain, sudden weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, nausea or shortness of breath.
For those with angina, any change in the frequency, duration or intensity of the attacks, or symptoms that don't respond to nitroglycerin.

It sounds like plueracy. There is a gooey lining between the lung and the lung cavety that is meant to lubricate the lungs so that when you inhale the lungs don't scrape against the cavity.. When this liquid dries up it causes pain when you breathe or move. It goes away on its own with time, and advil or tylenol may help reduce the discomfort. It can feel like a heart attack, but its not. But please contact your doctor to have an appointment or perhaps even describe your symptoms over the phone to see what they tell you. Best of luck.
First of all see a doctor as sooon as possible.

Secondly, chest pains which feel like a jabbing knife, are often the result of pinched nerves.
Chest pains which are related to very serious medical problems including imminent heart attack(in the mintues or horus that follow), are usually heavy and generalized (like an elephant is sitting on top of you), and are accompanied by shallow or difficult breathing, pain which radiates down the side of the left arm, and almost always in conjunction with perspiration and dizziness.
Heart attack survival rates go up the closer you get to a hospital ER within five minutes. Immediately taking one aspirin tablet may also save your life--ask your doctor about this "just-in-case" plan.
After seeing your doctor, and upon their advice, you might want to try implimenting relaxation exercises into your daily routine.
For example, you might include slow deep breathing, aerobic dance classes and treadmill speedwalking, at your local gym, a vacation to acopolco muight help, and learnign stress and anger management techniques. (You can look those up online).
Of course, by now, you know that quitting smoking now, greatly reduces your risk of serious medical problems including heart disease, heart attack, stroke, cancer emphasezema, and wrinkled skin.

Chest pain and palpitation could be due to anemia. If you have gen wekness, early fatigue or lethargy, get a CBC, or start some Iron+Vitamins+Mineral tonic empirically. It won't harm you. Other than that, it could be a viral infection causing myalgia/myocarditis.
Good luck!
