Mild kidney pain?

Question:
I woke up this morning fine, went to the mall, and when I came back, my lower back around my waist started to hurt a little. Right away I started drinking water and I took two ibuprofen. I've had a UTI in the past year and the kidney pain was slightly similar to the one I have now. Are there any at home remedies for this? The pain isn't that bad, so I guess it's not severe. Is there any way to stop it from getting worse without going to a doctor?

Answers:
If it is kidney stones then plenty of water will help to reduce the pain.

Most kidney stones are caused by too much acidity so an alkaline diet will gradually dissolve the stones but this takes a long time.
call your doctor
Have you tried cranberry pills? If not, call walgreens and ask the pharmacist.
cranberry juice and heating pads.
Cranberry fruit extract and water. Do not drink cranberry juice, it has too much sugar can make infection worse. Extract does not have to be brand name but look for one that is standardized.( Means that they claim to have controlled portion of the active ingredient in each pill). They now believe that something in the cranberry fruit extract keeps bacteria from sticking to the walls of the urinary tract so they get flushed away. Good Luck, I almost lost a kidney to an infection that didn't go away after after a course of antibiotics. The fruit extract really works and will help right away with discomfort too.
see a doctor. If you don't get it treated it could get a lot worse.
Drink a very strong Lemon drink. This really does help to make the stones if any very small to disappearing.
