Gallbladder? Hiatal hernia?
Question:

An ultrasound won't cost much. Call around for prices. Septoplasty is a bad surgery, gallbladder would be much easier to recover from. I have had both.
The best thing to do is to have surgery. My mom had surgery to remove her gallbladder a while back, its surgery so it will hurt but, she is glad that she got it out. Good luck!
Gall Bladder surgery is a breeze...youll be home the same day...but hernia sergery really sux...its very painfull...you cant sit stand,or roll over..it takes weeks.to recover.cant even pee...youll cry alot..just leave it alone...i have had that hernia for 20 years and am leaving it alone..it wont kill ya..
Did she rule out a kidney stone? My mom thought she had gallbladder problems and turned out the be a stone stuck in the ureter.
I had my gallbladder out a while ago and it was pretty painless. They do it laporoscopically through 3 tiny holes. My stomach muscles were sore after but it was not bad at all.
As for a cure other than removal? Not sure. Some people swear by gallbladder/liver flushes. You have to look that up on the net. But I wouldn't try that as long as you have symptoms.
Could you have pulled a muscle?
Hiatal Hernia usually causes heartburn and food to come back up in your throat. Gallbladder wouldn't do that.
Good luck!
Gallbladder surgery is pretty simple these days and done laproscopically (4 holes). You usually stay overnight and go home the next day. Without a gallbladder, you don't have to worry about stones anymore.
Surgery works best. With other methods, the stones come back.
Nothing can be done about a hiatal hernia other than take antacids and relearn how to eat and drink. A lot of people are walking around with them. I managed to wean myself off of the prescription antacid within a year after being diagnosed (it didn't really work and made me sick).
Usually with a hiatal hernia the symptoms are triggered by eating certain foods. Foods that will tell the stomach to secrete stomach acid. It sounds a bit unusual for a hiatal hernia to cause constant pain and not a heartburn type of pain. The nexium is a good drug to control stomach acid and if that works then the problem stems from the hernia. If that is the case then for the short term, staying on the drug makes sense. If the drug makes no difference then it is time to look for something else. This is when an ultra-sound makes sense to look for gallstones. If they are found, this might be a cause of the pain and surgery is the only option. Nothing else will get rid of them. The idea of a gallbladder flush is nonsense. The surgery is now done using a laparoscope and is minimally invasive. Work with your doctor on this it sounds like you are doing the right things. Sometimes it takes time and patience to find the cause of pain.
I dont no but usually when u get a hiatal hernia u can get GERD [GestroEsphogal Refulx Disease] ask doc about that next time u go!!!!!!!
I had my gallbladder removed early in the morning and went home later that day. Some people go home after one night in the hospital. Depends on the person
