Pulled a muscle in my shoulder. Whats the best treatment routine I can do myself?

Question:
I injured it at 2pm Friday 10th Aug 07

Answers:
I have had surgery on both of my shoulders and I consider myself knowledgable on them. Moving your shoulder as much as possible without SHARP pain is best. Use ice when you have pushed yourself too hard. If your pain is concentrated in a smaller area you need to see a doctor as you may have a more serious joint injury. If your pain is more spread out and not real persistant than you are probably ok. How you treat it now will dictate how much pain you will be in later in life.
just rotate it, and ice and heat for a while id say a 2-4 weeks depending on how it feels just life your arm up and down side to side around in circles
lift as much weight as you possibly can.
U need to rest the injured part and alternate ice and heat every 20 mins, take aleve or ibuprofen every 6 hours for pain till u can see a doc. but keep the joint moving or it will stiffen up...
