Im suffering from mittelschmerz (pain in the middle). what are the causes for this? is it stress?

my understanding is the ovary releasing the egg causing pain.
it is fairly common.
possible treatment would be birth control to prevent ovulation. you could also maybe try some advil for a few days in the mid cycle if you dont want to ask your doctor about birth control.

I would also like an answer. According to my internet searches it's a pretty common problem and is not fully medically understood. I too have pain during ovulation. :-( I know, it sucks.
