How can I re-program myself to go to sleep earlier than I usually do?


Question:
I usually get in bed by 11:30 and fall asleep within 45 minutes. I would like to be asleep by 10:30. This is really hard for me. Even if I get in bed by 9:45, I am restless and awake until midnight. What can I do to reprogram myself?

Learn to relax, dotn approach sleep like it is a huge stressful problem- mentally you need to chill out and relax. Examine your day- how much caffein are you drinking- what sort of caffein ar you drinking before bed time? Are you working out before bed time-if so, then you will get an energy boost. I recommend that you take a quick hot shower, soft lights when you get to bed, no TV, and a nice hot cup of herbal teas- a nice decaf mint tea.
I force myself to stay awake for extended periods of time to get back on a normal sleeping pattern after I've stayed up all night for some reason or the other. If you want to get to bed at 10:30 but aren't falling asleep until 12:15 you could try staying up all night ( you'll be dead tired all day ) and day until 10:30 or so and you'll fall asleep within seconds and hopefully have reprogrammed yourself. It works for me. I'm a crack head.
stay awake for about 24 hrs prior,then go to sleep at the desired time
Don't be too stressed by daily issues just before bedtime, breath slowly and deeply. relax and stretch all your limbs. keep your body well cover as to allow your brain to feel secure and go into the sleeping mode. hope these methods help you. happy sleeping

It's opposite in my case !o!... Just try awake you earlier morning, so you'll tired earlier evening ... It's just an idea, try it ...

u have to sacrafice with one day that u have to wake up earlier than u normally do..this way ,u will tired ans sleepy earlier than u normally do ...
