I'm 18, I get real bad back & chest pains is this normal?

Question:
For about a year or so, i've been getting real bad back pain, sometimes from sleep, sometimes from sitting all day at work, on the computer. I dont exercise much, but I've always been healthy and I'm not overweight or nothing, I'm 110.

For a long time I've had the habit of cracking my neck and back all the time, so recently I have someone crack my back when its bad. What i'm worried is that just in this year sometimes I dont only feel the back pain but chest pain as well, almost hard to breath or hurts... kinda like when you get air in you stomach, or on your sides when you walk or run.

Is this normal? Is cracking my back making it worse, Is their any exercise recommended or anything I can do to feel better??

Answers:
I think you should go see a Chiropractor.
I suggest that you go to your doctor.
Only they can tell you what's wrong
and what you can do to eliminate the
pain.
you might want to try stretching or yoga.
no not at all this is not normal....until and unless u work too much....but then also chest pain is sumthing very serious u can also die of this pain after few yrs..i am not a doctor so i cant give u a gud suggestion but u should see a doctor...i m just tryin to help u out....c ya.. take care ...get well soon.....
No, it is not normal, see ur gp and/or go to ur chiropractor and yes the back cracking is making it worse because it will make the bones and joints weak, which just makes ur back feel like an 80 yr old back.
Please go and see your doctor! What are you waiting for? If your getting chest pains, go to your doctrs and stop wating around. Your only 18!!
Sitting most of the day at work and on the computer can develop into some severe posture issues and pain. I recently had to change chairs for my computer because I was developing a variety of problems through my chest, neck and even my elbows.

You need to see an internist as soon as possible to discuss these ongoing problems you are having. I don't think that the back issue and chest pain are connected, but it could be if it is a posture related problem. Only a physician will be able to tell you this for certain.
