put on Aloe Vera, it helps cool down the burn and reduces the risk of peeling skin.

i had the same problem- it was sunburned for like 5 days, and then the skin starting peeling for 2 more days, so it was about a week in total
couple of weeks at least, if it is that bad u will peel and make sure u dont get blister on the skin and that they dont infected if u do get blisters dont pop them and keep a good eye on them. take ibuprofen for the pain and rub your skin with a deep moisturizing lotion as right now your body is craving liquid and moisture so keep it moist and sit in a cool bath as this will relieve the pain...
