I hate to break this to you but you are wasting your money on a chiropractor with a herniated disc. My husband had the same thing. He went to a chiropractor for 7 months. The pain never eased up. He finally went to an orthopedic doctor and had an MRI. That is how he found out it was a herniated disc. They scheduled him for surgery. We had been told by lots of people not to have the surgery because you end up in worse shape than you were in before the surgery. We are so glad we didn't listen to them. Before the surgery my husband's face always looked like the pain was about to kill him. After the surgery, and I mean after the recovery room, he was a new man! He smiled...and it wasn't just the pain meds. LOL He will tell you now he wished he had the surgery when the accident happened. He even says he would have surgery again in a second if he had to. So, you will get better but you have to go to the right doctors and take care of yourself after surgery until you are healed. Good Luck!
well, it wont heal itself, go see your doctor and have him write a prescription for physical therapy. Trust me it'll do wonders:)
My sister in law had this really a few years ago. I'm sorry to break this to you, but visiting a chiropractor is probably not enough. You need some physical therapy, MRI's, maybe even surgery. After suffering for over 6 months of therapy, chiropractors, the whole works, she finally had surgery, and is fine now. It took a little while to recover, but her quality of life has improved 100%.
Forget the chiropractor. Listen to Pattycake. That is definitely good advise!
