Bug bite im desperate?

Question:
I was bitten by some sort of bug several times on the legs 2 weeks ago, there are about 9 bites. In the duration of the past 2 weeks the bug bites have gotten itchier and more swollen, i have VERY LIGHTLY scratched them once or twice, but it seems even when i just touch the bugbite it begins to itch. Today I began to see that one of the bugbites on my upper thigh had become very very swollen, and the area around each bite is very hard to the touch.

What do you think bit me? What should I do? I am going to wait until about 8 tomorrow, i have no other symptoms and i read to crush aspirin and mix it with a little water to put on the bites, which works great

i got the bites watching soccer games, on a grass field

Answers:
If any of the bites look infected, red, swollen, oozy, see a doctor. You may need an antibiotic to help with the infection. There's no telling what bit you, as several people have various, extreme reactions to bug bites. Just keep an eye on them until you see the doctor. In the meantime, apply antibiotic ointment to the red and swollen ones, and antiinflammatory cream to the others.
Chiggers. It is often mistaken for a misquitoe bite, but a chigger is a creature that actually burrows into the skin and makes a nice little home for a spell. It is common to get them in the situation you describe, sitting on a grass field. They will disappear, but I usually itch mine so bad, that they scab up and heal that way. I know it's gross, but what can I say...I work outside, and when I itch, I scratch.
If you can take Benadryl it would help. Take a cool bath. If they don't go away , see your doctor.
