What are the best exercises or streches for lower back pain? I injured my back from bending down and lifting.

I would like to suggest that when you look at the exercises that you do them in a POOL if you can, and then geta inner tube and float! When in the pool, do not overdue... It is POSSIBLE OVERDUE IT AND THEN WHAT GOOD WILL THAT TO..
But you are 1/3 your body weight and this is the best type to help with staying active! Its actually a pleasure to do them ...Be surprised what you can do in the water ...promotes healing faster!
I have the same problem.
The best exercises to do are for your stomache.
Such as sit-ups and crunches.

Your back is supported by your stomache=]
Hamstring stretches against a doorway, I do them every day. Tight hamstrings affect the lower back.
