My partner has a sharp pain in his groin what could this be?

It could be a variety of things. To find out, he should see his doctor if it worsens, or doesn't go away in a couple days. A good idea is to check out the WebMD site, they have a symptom checker, and it is interactive, and easy to use! Click on the following link, and then click 'start here' for the Symptom Checker and then follow instructions...good luck!

run to your doc !
Sounds painful one of his testicles may be stuck try massarging them with warm water this normally works
has he seen a doctor he should he may have a hernia and should go to hospital to be sure
It sounds like it could be a hernia, but he should go to see the doctor.
he may have groin strain, he might have pulled in his sleep, try a warm pack on his groin area and some ibuprofen for swelling and pain, if it gets worse or lasts more than a few days get him to see the doctor.
This could be a herniated muscle - see a doctor
Has he got a pair of scissors in his trouser pocket?
Twisted testicles! Had the same pain, and its not nice. Your GP could deal with it easily but you need to see them soon as possible.
Maybe it is some kind of hernia at the worst, or maybe he has pulled a muscle some how without realising. If pain persists tomorrow, make sure he goes to the doctors. Good Luck!
Hi no one can answer your question. Your partner needs to see a doctor who can palputate the area. of the groin testis and penis, along with the scrotum. You do not say the age of your partner. As we age things change in mens bodies much earlier than they do in a womans.
It has been suggestedc that this could be a groin injury, if it is this will be able to be felt. Like women with breast problems the same goes for men they shoud not leave the inspection of their genitalia as the is a l;imited blood supply to the area.
Your partner needs to be checked by a doc and can only be done palputation.
Hernia?
