How do you know when you have broken a bone and you didn't hear it pop/crack?

Question:

Answers:
If you broke a bone, you probably wouldn't have been able to write a question. Regardless of where it is, a broken bone is incredibally painful. Basically, if you can move the joint in question without screaming, you are probably ok. Good luck
Serious pain and swelling usually will occur. The best way to make sure it is/isn't a break, and that you get the correct medical attention, is to go to a hospital and have x-rays done. Until you get them, keep whatever it is immobile. You can make a splint out of almost anything. You just need something hard and straight (almost anything made of wood will work) and wrap it (not too tight, you have allow for swelling). If you don't have an ace bandage to wrap with, try a kitchen towel and tape. The point is to keep it as immobile as possible so you don't do further damage.
go to the doctor... have it x-ray. if it is a fracture then they will decide what treatment will be given to you...
