Talus Bone fracture. Please tell me your experience and outcomes?

Question:
Last week I broke the Talus bone in my foot. I was playing racquetball and slipped on a wet floor. My foot hit the front wall at a bad angle and my Tibia was driven down and impacted the Talus bone. I had to have surgery to pin the bone back together. It hurts like H**L!
I was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar break and how it turned out for you.
I'm very anxious about this. I just bought a motorcycle and now it's sitting in the garage. I'm hoping that I will be back riding again before the end of the year.
Any advice? Your knowledge and experience in this is appreciated.
Thanks! Hope you have a great day.

I think you are concerned about the pin,Right? My wife broke her ankle a few years ago and had to have two pins. She has no problems with that ankle,so I would say that you will be back on that bike in no time.Just let the foot heal first. You sound like my son.He just bought a 2000 Suzuki LC-1500 Cruiser, and loves it.
Hey everything will be ok. They have pinned the bone back together & it will rejoin to make 1 just as good as the original. The only problem will be in the later years when osteoarthritis might set into the area.
