I have developed shoulder pain that streches to to lower neck?

The pain gets worse at night keeps me awake
Are there any yoga asanas for reliefe?

I would try upper trap stretches...put your head sideways towards the shoulder that is not bothering you and use your hand to pull it further towards your shoulder to help stretch out your neck area on the side that is bothering you..also I have found that Biofreeze works wonders for spasms and muscular aches like that..

Consult a doctor. It can be due to tension of muscle too.Spend sometime to do morning exercise. Massage helps alot too.

It is a postural Disorder, arrange pillows properly.
It could be spondalitis. See your doctor. He may recomend some simple excersise to reduce pain. Sit & sleep in a good strait posture.
Dear friend, I was having this problem about ten years back. There are 2 reasons for it. One is the nerve weakness. Another reason is as other friend said it is because of muscle stiffness. If you are unable to lift your hand as others do it may be because of stiffness. Otherwise it will be due to nerve weakness. For nerve weakness you can take Neorobian injection twice a week for 2 months. That will reduce your pain. Normally the pain will be more in cold condition. That is why it is severe at night. Avoid sleeping in A.C.Rooms. Other reason is you are busy with your work during day. When you are at rest you will feel more pain. Best treatment is manipulation. Consult the ortho doctor for this treatment. Tiger balm or Moove will give only temporary relief.
