Is this my appendix??

Question:

so about a month ago i started to get pain in mi right side abdomen but i thought i was ovulating so i put it in the back of mi mind and the pain went away but just recently it came back and i know this time im not ovulating so im getting scared that its my appendix! Im in india at the moment but were leaving tomorow back to chicago. I have been feeling much more gassy lately and i dont have much of an appetite anymore. If this is my appendix, how long does the surgery take and is it a major surgery? im so nervous!

I suppose it is a case of Gas and not appendix. because appendix pain is terrible. try to take carminative mixture when it appears again and see the if it gives you relief. Also you can use Ispaghol every night one teaspoon ful with plain water.

Well, if it is your appendix, its a minor surgery unless things get worse. But it's up to your doctor to decide if its your appendix or not. Appendicitis usually is accompanied by a fever and severe lower right quadrant pain. If you truely are scared, then check your symptoms on www.webmd.com. They have a symptom checker there, but I still recommend seeing your doctor.

My teacher told me that if you jump up and down on your right leg and you have a sharp pain in your lower right abdomen then you could likely have appendicitis. Since it could easily go from being appendicitis to having a rupture in a matter of hours I would go to the Dr. right away. If your appendix does rupture, you will wish that you took care of it before. Plus you don't want to travel with that pain do you? I don't know about the medical facilities in India but please at least get it checked out.
