Hosp bill question?
Question:
Answers:
Always ask fro an "itemized" bill and ask questions. A lot of people don't do this and you have the right to have this explained to you. It is common to get more than one bill depending on how manhy doctor saw you, who is participating with the hospital etc. You might want to get the book "Healthcare for Less." There is a whole chapter based on this and how to read your bill and what to expect. It will break things down for you and help you save.
One bill may be to the hospital, the other to the doctor who saw you in the trauma center, and the last one to a diagnostic type of doctor (i.e. radiologist, pathologist, etc.)
yes, you get one from the hospital, one from the doctor and one from either radioligy or lab etc.
