Strained Rhomboid Muscle?

Question:
I have a strained Rhomboid muscle. It may sound like no big deal, but it has drastically changed my life. I have an extremely high metabolism, and since the injury, I haven't been able to work out, loosing from almost 175 lbs down to 148 lbs.

No matter what I am doing, laying down on my stomach, back, sitting forward or sitting flat on a couch or riding in a car the pain is just about unbearable.

I have had two cortisone shots in it now, both which have completely removed the lumps which have been there for months, but the pain is still there.

I had some shock treatments done today at the chiro, and also warming of some type, no help though.

I do not want another shot as I know the side effects, but cannot be any more careful than I already am being, as far as trying to let it heal. I don't even open my own car door or anything.

It has been this way for a little over 4 months now.

Any tips or any experience in this area?

Thankyou

Try getting a massage.. massages are very good for muscle pain and spasms like that.. or see if you can get an anti-inflammatory from your doctor
