Tingling in my shoulder..?

Question:
Okay, so marching band has just recently started for me again. I play trumpet so I have to hold my instrument up 10 - 15 degrees above parallel - I'm not exactly sure how much it weighs, but after a 10 minute or so show, it gets heavy. Anyways, for the past few seasons, I've been getting this tingling sensation in my shoulder blade and I don't know if it's something with the nerves or what, it doesn't hurt it's just really uncomfortable and it'll tingle for 20-30 minutes sometimes, stop and then come back. I don't really have time to go to the doctor right now - does anyone have an idea of what may be wrong? What can I do to get some relief - IT'S SO ANNOYING!
This is my fourth year marching and seventh year playing trumpet so, it's not like doing this is out of the ordinary.

Answers:
it sounds like it could be a entrapped nerve..a muscle or tendon may be swollen from overuse and pressing on your nerve...i would try putting ice on that area after practicing every day you practice..if it keeps bothering you ask your doctor
Go see a chiropractor when you get the time to see a doctor. An MD won't have a clue as to what the problem is and will just give you some pill and say to come back in two weeks if its not better. Then he will send you to a specialist, something you could have done yourself.
yaa i can understand this tingling
coz i also go thru with it--last year
if u have seriously no time to go to a doctor
then put some ice on ur shoulder or take heat by any mean which u can bear!!
by bottle or sumthing else
it will surely give u relief seriously!!
do must try it!...
put some icy hot on it be4 u march

good luck
