My Doctor prescribed me quinine sulphate 300mg tablets for a strange foot infection I picked up from somewhere
Question:
Answers:
Quinine sulphate has no effect on infection! It is used for nocturnal muscle cramps. ( and malaria)
It has few side effects in therapeutic doses, however the toxic dose is quite small, so taking additional doses is potentially very dangerous, producing, amoung other things, cardiac rhythm problems.
Usually prescribed as an anti malarial drug or for restless legs syndrome.
Few side-effects, I think your doctor is only being careful.
I know they can be prescibed for cramps.
I don't know of any quinine side effects Quinine is not a drug. If you find yourself short of quinine pills all can find quinine in regular old tonic water.
