I tripped over a door frame. and I didn't feel the impact or anything but I did feel a sort of ache in my ankle. well I didn't wake up. the next morning I woke up to a very slightly swollen little sore ankle. I woke up in my bed so I don't think I sleep walk but I can't figure out how this happened any other ideas?

Answers:
You could have hit your ankle somehow in your bed, and then in your dream, your mind made something up in how it happened, so you really did hurt your ankle.
Sure if you fell out of bed
or maybe it was not a dream and you astral traveled somewhere
I wonder if you got your foot caught in the sheet--tangled up, and wrenched it a little bit. Maybe that is what triggered the dream. The little bit of pain that actually happened, made you have a dream about hurting your ankle.
Well, first find out if it's actually sprained or you just banged it on the wall or strangled it in your blankets. (Blankets can be vicious.) And then.well obviously you didn't sprain it in a dream and it just suddenly started hurting when you woke up! And you can sleepwalk back to your bed, too, you know.
you might have been barely awake and sleep walking, but then got bak in bed before walking up. You probably barely remember it, so it feels like it was a dream.
