they were closed and i don't want to take him to the ER because it's not that big of an emergency, unless his fever gets any higher with treatment. i just don't know what's going on with him and would like some opinions on what i should do. i was thinking a minor emergency center but then i'd have to not treat the fever so i don't bring him in without a fever because he was given medicine. but then i don't want to not give him medicine just to show the doctor that he's feverish but i don't want to make him miserable. ahhh! i'm worrying too much!! help me please.
thanks.

Your baby should be fine. He may have a little bug and the fever is his body's way of getting rid of it. Youre doing everything right. If his fever is still present tomorrow then take him to a minor med. place.
It is safer taken him to the hospital then waiting at home , the quicker treatment begins the quicker he gets better.
Any time a fever lasts for more then two days it should be looked into. When a child is teething they are more susceptible to infection which in turn can cause a fever. If the fever continues through out the day you should consider taking him to the ER if your doctor is not available.
A fever is the body's way of saying that something is wrong. It is always better to take your child to the doctor. The fact is you are masking the symptoms by giving him ibuprofen. You have to get him to the doctor or at least call you insurance's nurse hotline. The number should be on the back of your insurance card.
He probably has a small virus going on if his fever goes up today u probably need to call his pediatrician and they will prescribe antibiotics and want to see him this week...
My doctor always has me give my son tylenol then motrin on a rotating schedule like if i give tylenol at 12 then motrin at 2 then tylenol at 4 then motrin at 6 until the fever breaks and stays broken, since he said there is not much more they would do that that at the hospital anyway. And both of my sons ran fevers while they teethed so I don't think it is a myth.
