Is coffee good or bad for headaches?

Question:

Answers:
As Ryan C said earlier, if you drink a lot of coffee you can get caffeine withdrawal headaches. However, caffeine is one of the main ingredients in most over the counter migraine headache remedies. I have occasional migraines, and when I get them, I take two Excedrin Migraine tablets (which contain caffeine, aspirin, & tylenol) and chase them with a cup of coffee.
It could be good or bad, if you are addicted to caffeine which many people are, you get caffeine withdrawel headaches. You get a headache, drink caffeine and it goes away. But sometimes after the caffeine wears out the headache comes back worse than before. And the more caffeine you drink the more your body is going to wont so the more headachs you will get.
1) If you have a regular type headache and drink some coffee, the headache usually goes away. I used to have migraines and many times drinking coffee stopped the migraine or slowed it down.

2) However, if you have been drinking coffee every day for awhile and then don't drink it the next day and get a headache, it might be coffee withdrawal that is causing the headache. So, drinking coffee will stop the headache.
coffee is the best cure for headaches
but.
it is just a CURE and not a PREVENTION

moreover if taken regularly a person gets addicted to it because of the presence of the drug caffeine in it.
Actually, the caffiene in coffee helps aspirin work better. You'll notice the manufacturing companies of aspirin have generally quit adding caffiene to aspirin. They all used to. Now, you have to read the labels if you want caffiene mixed with your aspirin.

For instance, regular Bayer aspirin (now) has no caffiene in it. But if you buy Bayer Back and Body, the only difference is some caffiene is mixed in with the aspirin. Can ya believe it? They charge twice as much for Bayer B&B when all ya gotta do is drink some coffee with the regular (twice as cheap) Bayer aspirin..

Back to your question. if one is in the habit of drinking coffee and decides to quit, the withdrawal effect from the caffiene can actually cause headaches.

If you're drinking the coffee for the "lift" it (caffiene) gives you because you need to stay awake for some reason, the fatique is usually the cause of the headache, not the coffee...
It has been said that caffiene is good. A lot of headache meds contain caffiene.
