Do you smoke? Yes or no? How do I answer that?

Alright, so I have an appointment at the hospital in 2 days to have an adult circumcision. I have to fill one of those forms out and it'll ask if I smoke or not. Well, I don't smoke a lot, maybe a cigarette or two every now and then, only when someone offers. The last time I smoked was last week and I only had one cigarette. My dad will be with me and he always looks over the form before I turn it in, and he will probably beat my *** if he finds out I've smoked. He's not abusive or anything, so please no responses about family issues. So should I answer yes or no? The doctor will be using a local anesthesia, not general.

If you don't smoke every week and when you do its only 1 or 2 then put 'no' on the form.

Be honest, especially when it comes to your health. See if there is a way to get your dad out of the room while you are answering, the doctor shouldn't say anything because of dr/patient confidentiality

Write no on the paper but call your doctor and explain the situation..and please stop smoking, you seem young and still have your whole life ahead of you.

Just mark that you don't smoke. And then when you are with the doctor (without your dad I would hope). Just bring up that you have smoked before and you don't do it habbitually and see if that has anything to do with your anesthetic (i doubt it would). thatway he can't tell y our dad and you have piece of mind.

Hey if your dad is not going to beat you. You might ought to tell him about what you have done. If something turned out wrong it would be to late. I don't think anything would come of it if you lied, but.....

The main reason they ask if you smoke is for any potential diseases that may be caused by smoking. It sounds like you don't smoke very often (or have been smoking very long). I think you're safe answering "no". Don't stress yourself out about this. You need to be as anxiety free as you can right now.

i don't smoke,you should put no then confess to your doctor that you do bcuz i want to bcuz i think its cool but my mom will kill me! i use to dip,im a girl and a tom-boy what cha think? i crave every now and then but i sometime go crazy none knows that so shhh!

Put on the form that you don't, when you get back to the room where they start to prepare you tell one of the nurses and explain to her why you put no. If you don't feel comfortable with the nurse or nurses then wait until you see the anesthesologist and tell him. That is patient/doctor information and at that point they can't say anything to your Dad. Good luck!

just put NO, but i wanted you to know, i had a Dorsal cut Circumcision, you get to keep your foreskin, they cut it down the middle on top, ask your Surgeon!
