Short term memory?

Question:
i had a bike accident last year and i hit my head in a brick wall on the side of my head. there wasn't blood coming out of my head. it didn't seem much of a problem until now. after a year i feel like i cant remember anything and my memory seems really blurry. recently since yesterday my head seems to have this throbbing ache. i also have a problem with memorizing when it comes to tests. for one paragraph it takes me hours just to get it right. before the incident i could memorize a paragraph in 10 minutes and now i don't know whats happening. is it a problem? do i need to seek help from a doctor?

Answers:
Well, there is a problem called a Subdural Hematoma or SDH that can be caused from a head injury. It is a collection of blood just under the dura, or covering of the brain. It can start slowly after a head injury, and can even go away a bit, only to return later. I would suggest getting a CT scan. It can show if there is any collection of blood. If not, may just be stress, but I'd definitely check it out. Good Luck.
