I have Drop foot from being hospitalized so long but, they didn't say how long it will take to heal. I am?

worried that maybe it will never heal now and it's been 3 months since I had it. I am not even sure how I got it.. Is there any hope for me ?

my brother was born with drop foot. it's a neuromuscular thing (nerve/muscle) and it can be temporary or permanent. please visit this site: http://www.spineuniverse.com/displayarti... i can't believe you got it at a hospital! you should sue. they should know better than to let a patient get that. there is like a foot brace you can wear on your foot to help it, i dunno if it will ever fully correct itself, however. it's called a DAFO or an AFO.

talk to your surgeon. you may need rehab or OT.

Definately ask your doc about PT

You should have been in rehab while in the hospital to prevent something like that from happening. Ask your doctor what can be done to try and correct it. Are you in any special brace for it? Has your doctor tried to treat it? Call a lawyer...
