Can going without underware really help to keep your vaginal area from sweating and smelling?

Question:
i read on this site that its best to go without underware but if you gotta wear them go for all cotton ones, i want to know if this stuff is really true? also how many of you women out there do not wear underware? i mean iam not really comfortable with the idea but if it will help i will do it. and iam curious as to how many people in this world actually go commando?

Answers:
Only advisable if you wear a skirt (not a short one!). Trousers will just rub and have the same effect as underwear, also usually the hem in the middle of trousers will be uncomfortable with no underwear. For loose fitting trousers and floaty skirts its a great idea. I do.
soap and water is a much better way to avoid odor.
get disposable undies or wash your trousers every day

the last drop soaks in
Jeans would be really uncomfortable (rubbing) so only do so with skirts (make sure not too short as to not give out free shows). As far as sweating goes why not try baby powder? I know alot of girls that put a little baby powder in thier panties before putting them on and they claim it keeps them dry and fresh. Try it
hi!
i think u should wear undies beacuase when i was small, this boy wasn't waering undies and people were teasing him so if i were u i wouild were undies. try talk to a doctor or older women about it.

P.s. u can only smell the smell not other people so u don't have ta worry about being embarrased.

Good luck
lil cat has a great answer. yes its true that you should stick to cotton only undies. they are healthier for your skin, promote air circulation and reduce the chances of developing yeast infections.
but going pantiless isn't always the right option. you have to learn what works best for your body.
i wear long dresses about 99% of the time and i love the natural feeling but i restrict that to non-working hours. that seems to be the ideal situation for me.
Shower regularly, cotton panties and panty liners with a small poof of powder should do the trick
I think yes because it provides a lot of air spaces for air to occupy hence you will feel comfortable and aroused.
Going commando? That's a new terminology for me. Funny. I used to go 'commando' as you put it, until I was told by an MD that I was dating that pheromones escaping from the vaginal orifice would entice and attract men to me. He wasn't happy about that and insisted I wear underwear to keep what we shared exactly for just that, what WE shared, and exclusively for us. As far as sweat and odor in the vaginal area, there are other factors that affect that. One is weight and the other is the amount and type of material in the other garments that are worn. If a woman has thick thighs that are very close together it can contribute to sweat in that area as opposed to women who have a gap between them. It is true that panties with a cotton panel allow air with the probability of less sweat and odor building.
