Any One Have Any Quick Relief Ideas For Pain Related To GERD?
Question:
I can't have my gallbladder out right now. This same problem runs in our family, and everyone has had their gallbladder out and the problem has been resolved. Dr has already confirmed this is the problem, but it can't be done with the insurance I currently have.
I've tried: Maalox+Lidocaine cocktails, rice vinegar, apple cider vinegar, Vicodin, Tylenol, Benadryl.
Anyone have any ideas for stopping pain, so I can sleep?
Answers:
sounds like you are doing everything possible to treat this problem. What's going to help you most at this time is to start taking digestive enzymes every time you eat. These can be purchased at any health food store I recommend you purchase capsules and not tablets as they will dissolve easier. To help your gallbladder use 1tsp. Lecithin granules in a glass of water 30 minutes before you eat. This will help reduce the acidity and it basically acts like a soap to clean out the gall bladder.
the best answer is to call your doctor NOW or go to the ER.

Manuka honey works wonders. Are the doctors' sure that you have too much acid, opposed to too little acid? Too little acid causes the same symptoms, BUT, antacids, Maalox Cimetidine, Prilosec make the problem worse. {I know, this is my problem.} You may want to try: Betaine HCL., Proteolytic Enzymes, Lipase, Vitamin B12. Get an h-pylori test to rule out a bacterial cause. If the test shows positive, antibiotics will diffuse your problem. Try eating a piece of dry toast, or a few saltines at bedtime to soak up the acid.Eat smaller amounts more frequently during the day so there is always something in your stomach for the acid to work on. My sister had a dog that constantly had stomach problems, including frequent vomiting of bile. She made a slippery elm paste, and poured a tablespoon of this over her food at each meal, it really did help her. I wish you well. That is a horrible feeling. Hope that some, or all of these suggestions will help you.
