I have an embarrassing question about urine. Please answer if you know the answer.?

Question:
If I were to only drink water for 4 days, nothing else and eat no food, I would urinate several times a day. That urine would be because of the water intake. Since water is good for me, why doesn't my body absorb and use all of the water? When we urinate our body is getting rid of bad and/or useless things. Isn't water the one thing that we need to survive? Why does our body get rid of some of the water?

Does this make sense? I understand about absorption of foods and ridding itself of the useless stuff. But why does our body not keep all the water we take in?

Answers:
Water is a polar molecule, this means that other polar molecules will be attracted to it, like magnets. Your body needs to get rid of some sodium (Na+) so how does it do this? It makes salt water and you pee it out. This is a rudimentary example to explain that you need to rid yourself of water to rid yourself of certain waste products, or excess products. You need about 64 ounces of metabolic water a day--this does not mean you need to drink 8-8 ounce glasses of water a day. It means you need 64 ounces of water available for metabolic processes a day. If you drink tea, eat food and live on planet Earth, you likely get enough. Sometimes you don't and you are dehydrated. Rarely you get too much and for whatever reason the body doesn't rid you of it (Alzheimer's patients with the thirst center of the brain destroyed by the disease or bladder obstruction) and you actually get something called water intoxication--a toxic level of water in the body.
the body eliminated water in 3 ways: aspiration, perspiration, urination. you need a fresh supply to sustain life.
It only takes it when we need it, and you absorb NUTRIENTS
not water.
the kidneys filter blood for toxins, those toxins have to be carried away by something and the best thing is water, it is the way the body is designed to function, that is why you need to drink at least two liters a day, just to replace what you lose thru normal body function. BTW, if you don't eat, the body will burn it's own tissues for metabolism, this creates even more toxins and puts greater strain on your kidneys, people who starve to death usually die from kidney failure.
Well if our body did retain all the water our cell would lyse because of too much water and lowered pH they would have. You could actually kill yourself if you drink too much water... also the water would deplete the water soluable vitamins you have in your body.

Good luck on your quest!

It needs a vechile to get rid of the waste. So the water transports the waste . Body's way of doing things.
You said it yourself: the body uses water to get impurities out of our bodies. You. will know that you are drinking the right amount of water for you when you notice that your urine is clear Your body needs nutrients too...so don't fast too long..
The act of living creates a lot of waste products from our metabolism. We have a few processes of excretion - when we exhale we get of rid carbon dioxide that we don't need. When we poop we get rid of solid waste from the food we eat. Sweating is also a process of excretion. Urine is created because our blood needs to be cleaned and filtered through the kidneys. People with kidney failure have to be on dialysis so the machine can clean their blood for them. If they didn't do that, so many toxins would build up in their bodies that it would kill them.

Dehydration is dangerous because it is so critical for our organs to function properly, and for blood to be the right consistency and to be cleaned. Some people have died as a result of water poisoning, or ingesting so much water that it screws up the blood chemistry. So too much is just as dangerous as not enough.
When you drink water, it retains the water. But you only drink water for 4 days, it will see that your getting enough water so it won't absorb all the waters intake.

Your body reacts differently when you get a lot of water in your system. You will become addicted to water and not hold in as much water which in the long run will make you look weight faster.

Hopes this works your ya!
Its a part of the bodies natural way flushing out the toxins
The water is like a lubricate, it fl owes.ok
Because urine is not 100% water.
It is concentrated and contains microscopic particles of toxins, bacteria and excess water that the body does not need.
If you did not drink a sufficient amount of fluids, the body would concentrate the urine further. You would notice that your urine would be darker, due the higher percentage of solid particles.
Because your body does not need that much water. In fact, forgoing other sustenance, you could actually cause your electrolyte and potassium to drop to dangerous levels and suffer from a condition very similar to a heat stroke. Your body needs other things besides just water--yes we need it to survive--it is 80% of our body mass! But we need other things to survive too! Don't play around with your health!
