I bite my nails really bad, and I have wanted to stop for like two years now.?

I've tried putting hot sauce on my nails and acrylics, and neither worked for me. What ended up working for me was deciding I really didn't want to bite my nails anymore, being conscious of when I would bite them, and finding something to occupy my hands so I wouldn't bite at my nails. I found it useful to keep my nails painted - I wouldn't bite them because I didn't want to mess up the polish. I've been bite free for years!
Good luck!
PUT HOT SAUCE ON THEM, or any liquidy hting you HATE, then, when your gonna bite your nails, they will taste bad!! you'll lose the need to bite them sooner or laters!!
GD LUCK!!

Try wearing nail tips for several months. They are impossible to chew on it might help to break the habit. You'll enjoy the new look and maybe when the time comes to be on your own, you'll remember how nice your unchewed nails looked and take care of them instead of abusing them ...:)
The best thing to do- get acrylics. You can bite at- but cannot bite off. Keep 'em done for a couple of months and the habit will be gone. Worked for me and my little sister =)
You should take up a new habit of putting your fingers up your butt. I'll bet that will make you stop!
A few things worked for me. I made it a New Years resolution. I do well with them. I purchased a pretty ring. I wouldn't wear it until I stopped chewing because I hated my hands. Yes. Next I wore fake nails. I carried glue with me everywhere! After about 5 weeks I took them off and used a Hard as Nails type clear polish because they were very weak. From both biting them and the fake nails. I have really nice nails now. I love my hands. They are so pretty. It takes like 21 days to break a habit. They do sell a bitter nail polish for this but I have heard of people getting use to the taste. Also a daily vitamin will help strengthen the nails and a nice hand lotion may help too. Good luck. I know you can do it.
Try keeping a nail file wherever you are, and just smooth them out. Mine were rough or torn, so I'd pick on them.
I had the same problem, but I got tired of them looking terrible.
