Do tetanus shots hurt?

Question:
i have to get one in like two hours and don't know what to expect haven't had a shot forever...how thick is the needle?
ugh i hate needles lol im trying not to think about it but i don't know

anything?

Answers:
Thin needle and shot was not very painful (unlike flu vaccine).

Later on, however, it made my arm VERY sore for 2 days.

You should get the one with the pertussis vaccine in it, too.

They had to administer a pregnancy test before administering mine - even though there was no way I was preggers!
I got one. The needle barely hurts... and trust me im a wussy with needles. But afterwords its just hard to move your arm. It kinda hurts a couple hours later. Just take an aspiran and move on. Good luck.
Tetanus shots vary from doctor to doctor. Not all syringes and needles are the same size.

As for pain, some people may freak out at the sight of any sized needle, other people may just shrug and get on with it. The pain is up to you, and it depends on how well you can take it.

Good luck!
NO! they feel funny kinda like laughing gas yo
Hi, hopefully i can help, but DON'T GET ONE. Don't get anymore vaccinations. The medical systems are making huge bucks out of it, but they are not needed. Getting tetanus is a very small chance. If you keep yourself healthy and eat healthy foods, you are safe. If you think about it, why would you be born into this world in such a faulty state that you would have to be getting tetanus shots? Your body can deal with infections and problems if you take areally good care of it. Trust me. read this: http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/tetanus.htm...

well it is up to you only you can do something good luck
The needle is 1.5 inches long, not very thick. Don't look at the needle. An experienced health care nurse should give you the injection with out you feeling a thing. Yes, it should not be very painful. The painful part is the aching over the next few days that many experience. If you are right handed, get the injection on the left.
I had one last october and I barely felt anything, just a tiny sting, nothing as bad as the local anesthetic they had just used in the processes of stitching a wound on my hand minutes before. Your arm may be a bit sore and feel heavy for a few days but it's important to keep your arm active. Thee needle is only as thick as a few strands of hair, it just stings for a few seconds and then it's all over.

Good Luck
