What would be the difference in getting the blood pressure from the arm compared to getting it from the leg?

Question:

Answers:
The blood pressure is taken by collapsing the artery in the arm then slowly releasing the pressure and listening for the blood surging through the still constricted opening (high pressure) and then moving at rest pressure.
Doing the same thing against the muscles of the leg would be much more difficult and getting the leg into a proper position (like resting the arm on a table top) would be much more difficult. There are the practical difficulties of dropping the pants to take a read on the back of the knee and groping up a woman's dress to do same.
sorry, but i have no clue. i'ld like to know that myself, since i take my bp readings everyday. good luck
Getting a BP from the leg may have a little bit of different results due to the increased chance of human error. The leg is bigger, so the cuff may be too small, therefore giving a false higher reading.
In the arm you have the radial pulse which is at your wrist and the brachial pulse which is at on the opposite side of your elbow. the reason why it is so much better is because more blood from the heart flows to the arm. It much better to hear. getting blood pressure from the leg is less accurate than the arm.
