A lodged foreign body in the external auditory canal is benign and for the most part harmless. Unless, the tympanic membrane, osseous (hammer, anvil, stirrup bones) and inner structures have been disrupted, in which case you would experience hearing loss, pain, tinnitus (ringing), etc...
If it's just stuck there and you're assymptomatic, relax. just go to a local clinic at your convenience and the folks there can use an alligator forcep to pull it out.
