Is it ok to put hydrogen peroxide in your ears?
Question:
Answers:
NO! It is NOT OK
You should not put anything in your ear.
From a qualified first aider - the smallest thing you can put in your ear is your elbow.
Anything else, leave it to doctors or medical personnel.
yes it kills all germs!
Yes it's ok, it's actually recommended throw 2 drops in and then wait for 3 seconds before throwing your head back to normal. it also helps get rid of ear wax
If you have an ear infection, hydrogen peroxide will not do anything. An ear infection occurs due to fluid build up in the middle or the inner ear. Consult your physician and see if she can prescribe you something. 2 parts warm water to 1 part hydrogen peroxide helps if you have wax build up.
Absolutely not
Peroxide is only recommended for internal use in very rare circumstances nowadays.
It has been known to cause air embolism (like a blood clot only an air clot) when used as a cleansing agent in wounds.
We rarely use it medicinally anymore where I work.
It will not cure your ear infection - if you have a true ear infection then you will need systemic oral antibiotics - topical antibiotics will not get rid of the infection.
I would NEVER put this in my ear - the damage you could cause to your internal ear if your eardrum was not completely intact could be horrendous
There is no evidence to state that dairy causes mucous production - in fact the research states it has no relationship.

Yup hydrogen peroxide is totally ok to help with ear infections. There are tons of other home remedies but I will leave that list for others to display. No harmful side effects if you put the h2o2 in your ears!
You may also want to stay completely away from all dairy products while you have the infection. Dairy causes more mucus which traps infection and it takes longer for your body to get rid of it.
Not a stupid question at all..
Its fine to pour a capful of peroxide into the ear..
Just lay down and keep it there till it stops bubbling..
It helps with infections/but won't heal it and ear wax too!!
Ear infections are very serious tho, please see your doctor..
yes you can use hydrogen peroxide in your ear, we even use it to flood each ear about 3-5 min if theres an impacted cerumen inside, once the cerumen is all soft, we can easily flush them out or use suction machine...
I had an ear infection a while back and I tried putting hydrogen peroxide in my ears to see if it would help. It didn't hurt anything but it also didn't help. On the plus side, the bubbling feeling in my ears kinda felt good. The best thing to do is to go to the doctors and get some antibiotics. Ear infections are a pain in the butt but within time they will go away. Hopefully.
Not really a good idea. You should probably get to the dcotor so s/he can put you an antibiotics.
