I need help sleeping again.?


Question:
im only 12 and for a long time i have only ever gotten 3 or less hours of sleep. something really bad happend in my life and its making me never be able to sleep. i watched my best friends at 12 jump of a cliff and i havnt had a good sleep after it. and my mum and dad know i cant sleep but they just say i have to close my eyes and try. what should i do?

Thats absoultely horrid... im so sorry that you had to witness that. I myself as a Christian suggest that you speak with God. Pray to Him and ask Him for peace. Also, if you would like to become a child of God, email me and i can share with you the Son of God our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is the only way to find peace in this horrible world these days. Please accept God, its the greatest choice you could possibly make in your life.
That is very sad.
Definitely ask your parents if you can see a therapist or a psychiatrist. It sounds silly, but it will help you.
You might also want to try keeping a daily journal writing down exactly what and how you feel for the day. Sometimes getting your inner feelings out on paper helps you to disconnect from them if you need to. There is much more you can do, but I suggest FOREMOST that you ask your parents to have a few visits with a psychiatrist.

Try ignoring your problem and think of good things in your life... or think of a relaxing place like the beach and imagine the sounds and everything, Or lay on your pillow and just feel how comfy you are and just think of good things then you'll eventuallly just fall asleep. I have problems falling asleep to. I just lay in bed and curl up comfortably and I eventually fall asleep like a half hour later. Or you can watch tv untill you fall asleep. That usually works. Or as the person above me said. pray for peace and ask God to help you.
i have the same problem. (i cant sleep)you may just need someone to talk to. i got the same problem, i cant sleep. try to think of NOTHING when you lay down in bed. just drift off. get very relaxed, and get in comfortable pajamas. like i said dont think of the bad things that have happened to you- focus on either nothing or one good thing. at the very most, you could take sleeping pills if it gets very serious.
