Its 5 nights and im away from my parents and stuff :( what do i do if i start crying?? Should i use sleep pills? do you think that would be ok? helppp :(

Answers:
No, you can't take sleeping pills or even melatonin to camp. It is considered drugs and you can get into trouble. It's ok to not go if you need to stay home. Someday it will be easier to go so far away and stay for a week than it is now.
If you really have to go, then it's still ok. There is nothing wrong with missing Mom and home. It's normal. Growing up is hard. And it is ok to cry.
Whatever you decide, to go or not, it is ok. You are normal. You are just growing up and it's tough to become so independent from Mom and Dad. You are just being a normal young person.
sleeping pills would help but they are bad for you
as you feel bad think of all the love from your family and all the things you love about home and be glad you are going back there
just think about reminding yourself how garteful you are . the feeling is grateful... focus on gratitude for everything... your dolls, your bed, mom, pet, school, friends, etc etc. FEEEL GRATEFUL, not sad but HAPPY you have it... focus there and you will feel better
Sing all your favorite songs in your head. Don't allow another thought to enter, if it does, reject it. You are able to overcome this. I think of Bible stories I heard growing up and also songs I like. It helps me and I hope it helps you as well.
Absolutely not. Sleeping pills are addictive.
I suggest when you feel homesick think about something that makes you happy. Counter act the negative thinking with positive thoughts. Remember homesickness is just the way you are looking at your situation.
You are at camp. Enjoy the experience. Have fun. It will all end too soon.
I used to get so homesick when I was younger that I would not even spend the night at a friends house until I was about 14. The first night that I ever did it i just happened to fall asleep watching a movie because I was so tired. I woke up the next morning and realized that i had actually stayed the entire night. I do not think that you need to use pills to help you fall asleep. They usually only work for a few hours anyway and then you are back where you started in the middle of the night wide awake. I think that since you are at camp you will be so tired from all of the activities that you do during the day that sleeping will be easy. Also, if you have trouble falling asleep, read a book as you are trying to fall asleep and it may help to make you sleepy. Lastly, stick it out. Do not call the first night to go home. that is what I used to do so I never fully tried it or gave it time to see if I really liked it. Hope this helps some!
take lots and lots of pics of your house and the people you live with and take 5 things you love!
Can you steal your parents cell phone and if so, would it work?
Hmmm... I would advise against sleeping pills. The addictiveness is a factor, and they may not work. Try to focus on the good things, like experiencing something new. Can you call them? Focus on the better things, where you are and what you're doing. Remember that you're coming back, but don't dwell on that fact. Simply remember it. Take a little something to remind you of home, but take something you find at camp as well to remind you why you're there. Besides, you're family wouldn't want you crying and unhappy, right? ;) And if you start crying, check yourself! Take a deep breath, and ask yourself why you're crying. Miss your parents/family? You'll see them in a few days, so focus on the good stuff. Good luck!
