Question:
i am 19yrs old and have had two hip replacements, my right when i was 15 and my left when i was 16... everything has been great... just recently i have been experiencing some pain in my hips.. kinda stiffness... and i have stress fractures in my thighs bc of the replacements.. what could be causing the stiffness... are there any exercises i can do to make it go away? all of your help is appreciated thanks!! There are several things that could be causing your pain and stiffness. Your next move should be to see your doctor (surgeon) and have things checked out. Don't try to self-treat with exercises. Some of the things that could be causing your discomfort will not be resolved with exercises alone.
See your surgeon.
I would definately direct these questions to your Dr. as these should not be answered by any ole lay person. I am a nurse and I'm not comfortable answering this question!
