Help - Relief from Gout pain in foot?

Are there any surefire ways on how to get some relief from this? Should i use bandages / deep heat?

Bandages won't help and Deep Heat will only irritate the skin. Assuming that there are no contraindications in your case, only some hefty doses of anti-inflammatory by mouth will help. The most commonly used one now is diclofenac, it is prescription only.

The cure for gout is to go to your doctor and get prescription tablets. Taking pain-killers, aspirin etc., will do no good and may in fact make your situation worse.
Gaut is no laughing matter and if not treated properly can ultimately end in a person's demise.
Gaut is usually caused by some inbalance within the body. There are herbal remedies, but they are not nearly as effective as the modern medicines.
In the 18th century you would have been taken to Bath in Somerset and pushed around town in your Bath Chair, your foot heavily bandaged. Your doctor [a quack] would have recommended a diet of Port, Claret and rich fruit cake with roast beef. Your situation would have got worse. You would have taken to the waters and eventually died of your condition.
Thankfully this is the 21st century and we don't hang each other any more.

gout is a form of arthritis - my mom has it and she eats 8-10 cherries a day and it seems to work. fresh cherries are better but you can use the frozen ones as well. as far as the sheet thing i would go to a med store an buy one on those things that lifts the sheets off your feet only. hope this helps.
As a previous answer said, gout is a form of arthritis and you really need to seek professional advice about this. It is very simply dealt with by taking medication but you must get this from your doctor. Definitely don't use bandages and deep heat annointment won't work on Gout. Off to the doctors for you, a.s.a.p.
