Pain killers?

Question:
how long after you have a prescription pain killer does it expire?

Answers:
They claim one year, but if they are kept in a dry place they can last 2 or more years as they are still just as affective as when they were from date of puchase.
the actually prescription usually expires after a year but that doesn't mean that it still won't work...if you are talking about the actual pill short term pain medication usually lasts sometimes between 4-6 hours for long term it normally takes between 8-12 hours...hope this help...however if you are trying to fill a prescription that has expired you have to get a not from your doctor otherwise the pharmacy can't fill due to FDA laws...good luck i hope this helps...
They are recommended to last for 1 year, however, it stored properly they are safe for 2 or 3, they will lose some potency though.
